Windows Vista Support
Many of you are wondering when IdeaMason will be compatible with Windows Vista. Well, we are actually working on it as we speak. I am sure some of you are under the belief that XP to Vista compatibility should be fairly simple, and no doubt some of you have heard the opposite–early reports of existing applications not working on Vista. Unfortunately, compatibility of applications with Vista, even those which have been as recently developed as IdeaMason 3.0 using Microsoft’s most current development technologies, is not guaranteed. In short, creating a Vista compatible version of IdeaMason involves some amount of work and a full regression test. Japanese / Far-East Language Support
We designed IdeaMason to be as much a culturally neutral application as possible. That means that no matter what language you speak, as long as you have a cursory understanding of English you can use IdeaMason. With Version 3.0 we even added several additional dictionaries to the spell checker options. In fact, if you don’t find your language represented please email us and we will be glad to add a download link to the language of your choice. But even though we did our best to not interfere with non-English language entry in IdeaMason we obviously couldn’t test the full range of languages and need speakers of those languages to let us know when issues arise. Using Activities and Categories for Organizing your Dissertation
A recent question on how best to organize the chapters in a dissertation made us think that maybe others might be interested in sharing their thoughts on how they use IdeaMason to organize their own large projects.

IdeaMason Importer Beta!
The Endnote Importer application is now available. The Endnote Importer lets you import source data from Endnote into IdeaMason. A complete help file is included with this application. You can also watch our new video which shows you each step in the Import process.
