New HelpDesk System

We have always tried our best to be as good as we can be when it comes to customer service. But frustratingly email just doesn’t always hold up its end of the bargain. We absolutely hate to see even the occasional returned message or hear that a customer has had trouble reaching us.

So, we are introducing a new HelpDesk system that will make life easier for both you and us.

This is a ticket based system that lets us respond to you directly via email, just as we always have. But now you can also track and review an open case online, anytime. So, if you don’t get the reply you expected you can now log directly into our HelpDesk system and review the case history and our latest response.

All customer service links on our website will now put you straight into the new HelpDesk system.

Version 3.1.5.2 Released

Version 3.1.5.2 was released May 7th, 2007.

Version 3.1.5.2 is a patch release which solves certain very specific issues for customers outside the United States. If you are not experiencing the issues noted below, you do not really need to reinstall your current version with this version.

Fixed in this release

  • Harvard Australian Style - Date formatting in magazine periodicals. (Refresh the citation after upgrading by clicking the “Regenerate All” button on the Citations panel of the Source dashboard.)
  • Certain issues with the Arabic character set.

How to upgrade:
If you already upgraded to Version 3.0 or Version 3.1 you just need to download Version 3.1.5.2 from the Free Trial downloads page and install it. You DO NOT NEED a new license key and will NOT need to reactivate.

NOTE #1: Be sure to uninstall Version 2.2 before installing Version 3.1.5.2. If you try to install Version 3.1.5.2 and get the following message: “Exception occurred while initializing the installation: System.BadImageFormatException: The format of the file ‘IMinstallerCustom.dll is invalid.” - this is an indication that you still have Version 2.2 installed on your system.
